Its the day before Thanksgiving and another magazine closes its door.
GIANT magazine an urban couture magazine which showed a lot of promise is
closing down.
More editors, writers and designers out of work. Its sad but Urban Latino will survive another
year barely.

Well I went to Herbert H. Lehman high school in 1972 to 1977 , I didn't graducated because I had to leave school and support myself, now I just wanted you to know that when I was attending Lehman, alot of the student's that did graducated specially a friend of mine , didn't know how to read , Her sister ask me how in the world did she graducated, when she didn't know how to read, when I need to get into a work and school program they didn't let me, and when I wanted to transfer out , I was told by the councilor that it would be the same in any school. so I drop out with many regrets, I had a total of 22 1/2 credits and all I needed was 2 1/2 credit to graducated. I was in the seeker club and a member for the library club. So you see the school system has been failing for many years and now it failing my boys. Here in florida the school exspell and give referrals in a heart beat , specially if you not white. I have written to the President about changing the school system this include, how they treat the employee as well. Sincerely Wilda Maymi
